Please join our family as we host the 13th Annual Do It ‘Fore’ Dan Golf Tournament to raise money for medical research seeking cures and treatments for the devastating disease, MPS (Mucopolysaccharidosis).  This condition has affected many lives in the tri-state area and around the United States and sadly has taken the lives of many as well.  There are seven different types of MPS and our son Dan, had MPS type II, or Hunter Syndrome. Dan fought an incredible battle against MPS for a little over 19 years but lost the fight in January of 2016. Although Dan is no longer with us, it is our hope that we continue to raise both awareness and funds for this terrible progressive and degenerative disease.

MPS is a genetic illness which causes damage to virtually every cell in the body resulting in progressive deterioration and eventually death.  It is a terminal disease with no cure.  Although the disease is rare, there are a number of families in the tri-state area that we know who have an affected love one or who have lost a loved one.  The National MPS Society is a nonprofit 501c3 (11-2734849) organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families who are impacted by MPS while researching for cures.  Promising treatment and therapies are just around the corner.   Money is needed to continue the fight to find cures. The tournament will be held at Moccasin Run Golf Course in Atglen, PA, on October 3, 2025, with a 12:30pm shotgun start. Any donation of merchandise or money would be greatly appreciated.  Your tax deductible donation will be acknowledged in writing and your business will be recognized locally at the event.  We can arrange for pick-up of any donation at a time convenient for you.   

We are the event organizers. We are also the parents, sibling, and friends of a child that lost his battle against MPS.  We struggle to understand how we could be in 2025 and not have a cure or treatment for all seven types of MPS.  One thing that we can do to honor Dan's life is to raise awareness and funding for research. Please help us to fight for the lives of all those who live with MPS.
